Edged US opened the first building of its Aurora, Illinois campus in February 2025 — making it one of the earliest operational zero-water AI data center facilities in the United States. The campus is equipped with ThermalWorks, a proprietary waterless cooling system developed by Edged’s sister company, delivering liquid-to-chip cooling at densities exceeding 200 kW per rack. At full buildout of 96 MW across three buildings, the campus is projected to save nearly 380 million gallons of water annually compared to  conventional evaporative cooling designs. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin, ComEd (the local utility), and city economic development officials — establishing the facility as a documented community partnership success.
